ZEST receives £2535 of funding to buy new litter picking equipment

We are very excited to announce that our funding application to Barrow Community Trust has been successful!
The money awarded from the Cumbria Grassroots Fund totalling £2535 will be used to buy the following equipment:
50 x Heavy Duty Litter Pickers
25 x Children's Litter Pickers called Graptors
25 x Bin Bag Hoops
500 x Heavy Duty Black Bin Bags
Large First Aid Kit
Adult High Vis ZEST Vests
Children's High Vis ZEST Vests
Our new community action group is off to a flying start with securing this funding, and we can't thank Barrow Community Trust enough for their fantastic support.
As you can see from the above picture we have already mocked up a design for our new ZEST Vests and they will soon be sent off to print.
Our first community litter pick is set to take place on Sunday 28th April in the Red River area, 10am - 11.30am. Everyone is welcome to attend, please meet at Tesco Metro.
